In November 1997, Mark Heidenheimer started and opened the law office of Mark Heidenheimer, P.L.L.C. in McKinney, Texas. Mr. Heidenheimer is Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

These areas of expertise involve the skills needed to represent clients in contested trials and appeals, regardless of whether the case involves family law, business litigation, a will contest, or other areas of law. Although most cases settle, they usually settle when one party is in a position of strength. And getting to a position of strength is largely a function of how well prepared you are for trial.

At the present time only about 10% of the Texas Bar is board certified in any area of law. Even fewer are board certified in two areas of law. Mr. Heidenheimer has represented clients in over 50 jury trials that were tried to a verdict. He has also represented clients in 13 of the 14 Texas Courts of Appeals, and has argued 3 cases before the Texas Supreme Court in Austin.

Mr. Heidenheimer earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1982. He has been practicing law for over 24 years. During this time, he was an assistant district attorney in Abilene where he rose to the position of Chief Felony Prosecutor of the 42nd District Court.

Mr. Heidenheimer also represented the Texas Department of Transportation, by and through the Texas Attorney General's Office, in eminent domain cases and in personal injury cases for 10 years. He left government service in 1997 to open his law practice in McKinney.

The law firm consists of Mark Heidenheimer and Debi Neely. Ms. Neely has been the legal secretary and office manager of the law firm since its creation in November 1997. The combination of Mr. Heidenheimer and Ms. Neely means that you will receive personal attention on all your legal matters.
